Missional Expressions values people and its vision is to cultivate an environment in which each person, from every walk of life, can awaken to his or her unique, God-given mission calling. Ephesians 2:10
The Alpha Course is open to everyone interested in discovering what Christianity is about. Come, relax, eat, share your thoughts and explore the meaning of life...
People attend from all backgrounds, religions, and viewpoints. They come to investigate questions about the existence of God, the purpose of life, the afterlife, the claims of Jesus and more. Some people want to get beyond religion and find a relationship with God that really changes their lives.
Each gathering begins with a meal or refreshments - a chance to get to know others. Then there is a short talk which looks at a different aspect of the Christian faith each week. This is followed by a time of discussion in small groups, where everyone is welcome to contribute their opinion and ask questions.

‘If you have knowledge, let others light their candles from it' - Thomas Fuller
Mosaiek’s Missional Expressions has made a commitment to Education. Ignite is our Ministry for education. It is our heart’s desire to ignite learners with passion for knowledge and wisdom. This is one of the most valuable possessions any soul can acquire in life. It opens one up to new possibilities of improving one’s own circumstances and creates opportunities for contributing to the lives of others.
The scriptures warn that for lack of vision (revelation) the people perish (cast off restraint). (Proverbs 29:18.) Those who lack the means to dream of and build a meaningful future become discipline problems in the classroom and may later have a negative impact on society. To regenerate a society it is necessary to help people discover God’s plans for us – plans to give a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

We are continually reminded that two is stronger than one, and in an exponential way. The Missional Expressions team partners with a number of organizations to enable a greater impact within the communities where we are hoping to make a difference; enabling expertise and a heritage of wisdom and knowledge to make an noticable difference.

2013 People Project - Emthonjeni Pilgrimage
Missional Expressions values people and its vision is to cultivate an environment in which each person, from every walk of life, can awaken to his or her unique, God-given mission calling. Ephesians 2:10
We seek to express the value we place on people by finding opportunities to support those in poverty, to promote peace and to care for our planet - so that we may win the right to share God’s love with the communities we serve.
We offer support through the establishment of sustainable projects - implemented by Mosaiek’s Missional Impact, Embark Foundation, Emthonjeni Community Centres and Ignite initiatives - as well as by partnering with other organisations with similar values. The communities are engaged from a posture of humility and a deep awareness of our shared humanity as we seek to identify and empower local leadership.
Members of the Mosaiek community are helped to discover and grow their calling through pilgrimages, missions trips, courses, dialogues and by participating in a number of projects. The events take place throughout the year with the projects following the seasons of the church calendar; the People project in Lent and Easter, the Planet project in September and the Peace project during the advent and Christmas season.
The Missional Expressions activities are supported through the generosity of donors and corporate sponsors as well as two major annual fund-raising events – the Expressing Hope Benefit Concert and the Arts and Crafts Expo which take place in the last quarter of the year.
More information on living as an everyday missionary can be found on the Missional Expressions Getting Involved page and Events Calendar. Information on how to become part of the work of established initiatives can be found on the Embark, Emthonjeni, Missional Impact (including Imagin), Ignite, Missional Partners and Siyafunda Network pages.
In partnership with Exposed2013, we join this initiative to take a stand against corruption.
