We are proud to host Ina Pfeiffer as our “Paasfest” artist for 2011

Ina is well known for her work published in the “LEEF” magazine and West Coast Escape. She also worked with established publishers likeJ P van der Walt doing inspirational illustrations that capture the heart and essence of any story.

I along with four brothers and two sisters Ina was born on a farm “LA PAIX” in the Great Karoo in the Beaufort West district. Here Ina discovered her passion to invite people into a world only visable on canvas and imagination.

The Karoo people are jovial, musical, with plenty time for children and inspiring conversationalists. You are never too young to hear all the Karoo stories and wisdom. Her artwork also tell the stories of families, love, passion, religion and the female sacredness. She also finds inspiration in the rocky koppies, vast sky and brilliant sunsets of her early youth.

Ina paints with oils and also use all kind of brick- a- brac like wood and pick up items and then all the throwaway stuff becomes the  jewels in her work.

The female form and children features mainly in all there glory. Babies, children, girls, women old and young with richly patterned clothes and flowers, halos , birds and our exquisite diverse south african landscapes!

The South African madonnas sometimes with a halo and a ndebele skirt or in a vineyard in darling portraits the light shining within and the amazing grace of God in our great country.

Ina studied Fine Arts at Unisa in the sixties, were exhibitions with great artists followed. Her work is exibited and showcased in  America, Europe and the United Kingdom and all over our South Africa. Ina take special pride in her studio in Greenside were every piece is crafted with passion.

We would like to invite you to come and walk into this new world of visual art at the Mosaiek Gallery (Foyer of Mosaiek teatro)
