Lydenstyd 2010


Vanaf AsWoensdag wat veertig dae (sonder Sondae) voor PaasSondag plaasvind, tot PaasNaweek, gedenk Mosaïek Lydenstyd. Hierdie seisoen word sedert die vroeë Kerk gedenk as 'n tydperk van afsondering, opoffering en berouvolheid; ter voorbereiding van PaasNaweek en wat dit vir volgelinge van Jesus beteken.

Die seisoen bereik 'n hoogtepunt in Heilige Week (PalmSondag tot PaasSondag), waartydens daar op die aktiwiteite van Jesus se laaste week gereflekteer word, met onder meer die Kruisiging en eindig met die viering van die Opstanding.

Hierdie is 'n baie betekenisvolle seisoen vir ons as gemeente. Jy kan deel vorm van die seisoen in die gemeente deur enige van die volgende:

  • Offer iets op vir hierdie seisoen, ter voorbereiding van die Paastyd (bv kos, sjokolade, wyn, koffie, kuier ens.), om jou hart gereed te kry vir dit wat die hoogtepunt op die kalender vir jou mag inhou.
  • Woon vanaf Aswoensdag (17 Februarie 2010) die Klipkerkbyeenkomste om 12:00, Maandae tot Donderdae, by.
  • Laai dagstukkies van die webtuiste af om tydens hierdie seisoen by jou huis saam mee te leef.
  • Ondersteun die People Project van Missional Expressions deur kos, komberse, geld, klere te skenk wat aan minderbevoorregtes beskikbaar gestel kan word.

    • PalmSondag se dienste (28 Maart 2010) - 08:30, 10:15 & 19:00
    • Kruisstasies
    • Ikoon-werkswinkel
    • Klipkerk byeenkomste om 12:00 en 18:30 (Maandag tot Donderdag)
    • Goeie Vrydagbyeenkomste (2 April 2010)
      • Klipkerk Lectio Divina - 07:30
      • Dienste (met Johan Geyser) - 08:30 & 10:15
      • Paasfest
      • Meditations on Easter - 14:00
    • Morning of Reflection (met Trevor Hudson) - Saterdag
    • Herinneringsdiens in Klipkerk (met Gys du Plessis) - Saterdag om 18:30
    • OpstandingSondag (4 April 2010)
      • Oggenddiens (met Trevor Hudson) - 08:30 & 10:15
      • Lectio Divina (Klipkerk) - 18:00
      • Aanddiens (met Theo Geyser) - 19:00

Mosaïek Stapklub


Die Mosaïek Stapklub het ontstaan in 2008, en sedertdien vind stappe op ʼn gereelde basis plaas. Stappers word die geleentheid gegun om die natuur te ervaar en van die stad se geraas en gejaag te ontsnap. Nuwe vriendskappe word ook tydens hierdie stappe gesmee. 

A blessing for 2010 - Trevor Hudson


"I’d like to extend to you a blessing as you enter this year. I want to bless you in the name of Jesus Christ. That you may know today that you are God’s beloved. And that you are loved with a love that will never ever let you go. That God knows you by name. That God holds out a crucified hand to you and says: ‘Will you take it?’

I pray that God will bless your spirit with a new responsiveness to life and to God and to Jesus and to the movement of the Spirit. I pray that God will bless your mind with new clarity, new clearness, and new abilities to think and to put things together, to connect ideas.

And that Jesus will release you from forces of darkness, despair. That God will bless your emotions and cause them to come alive again - the good emotions of joy, and peace, and deep love, and hope, and faith. I pray for that.

I pray for God’s blessing upon your bodies, that there will be new vigor, and vitality, and energy. That God will bless you with that. And that God will bless your relationships and where there is pain there will come new insight and faithfulness. That there will new intimacy, and closeness, and friendship, and community. I ask God to bless you with that.

That God will bless your work that you do in the world. That it will make this world a better place, it will put things together again, it will serve people. I bless your work in Jesus’ name.

I ask God to bless you with a new aliveness to creation – to the sky, and to the grass, and to the mountains, and to the rivers, and to all the insects, and the birds and the animals, and the dogs, and especially cats. I ask God to bless you today.

To bless you. And I speak that blessing to you in the name of Jesus Christ. May the joy of this God, the joy of the risen Christ be with you.

Mosaïek Conversations (previously Mosaïek Congress)

In the complex life of the 21st Century, we may need to approach Spirituality in a different way – a holistic manner that encapsulates theology, psychology, neurology and the other disciplines that shape the world as we know it. It needs to be based on the example of Jesus, be faithful to the Bible, and the traditions and heritage of the Church, the age-old organism embodying God's plan. That is the aims of the journey of Mosaïek Conversations - an initiative in our journey to converse about what spirituality looks like today.
