Due to the poverty in Zandspruit, being pregnant is not always a time to celebrate for the new mom-to-be. We meet a lot of women who wear one outfit during their entire pregnancy, women who are being abused and feeling undignified, worthless and ashamed of being pregnant. Because of this Emthonjeni Community Centres ensures not to only offer them a professional service but a space where they can feel welcomed, loved and cared for.

Digital Doorway Launch
Emthonjeni Community Centre now has the power to step further into the electronic education age through the digital doorway. The Digital Doorway computer was officially launched at a function on Friday, 12 February 2010.
Cosmo City Blanket Warming Project
CasCare, Oasis and Mosaïek have partnered together to keep the children of Cosmo City warm this winter. Volunteers will be part of this community effort to make a difference and share in the joy of achieving a common goal through the skills of knitting, crocheting and sewing.

Oasis,a non-profit organisation working in Cosmo City in north-western Johannesburg,has received a generous donation of R6,500 per month for an one year period,with an additional payment of R5,000 in December for hosting a Christmas party for disadvantaged ch
